# Recorded audio

Recorded Audio question type enables the creation of a question that prompts the students to record audio directly from the system as answers.
To create a Recorded Audio question:

1. In the Questions tab, click on the "**Add new question**" button.
2. Then under Questions, select "**Recorded Audio**".
3. This will direct you to the interface where you can formulate your question.

To preview the question from the student's perspective:

1. At the top right corner, click on "**Preview Exam**".
2. Choose either Smartphone or Desktop view and click "**Preview**".
3. On the instructions page, click "**Enter Exam**" to start previewing.
4. Locate the question with the same number as where you created it.
5. In the answer section, students can start recording their answers by clicking the "**Record**" button.
6. Students can listen and re-record their audio recordings as much as they need.
